Behind The Scenes - Pickles & Loop Summer photoshoots

Pickles & Loop customers have also asked us about how a fashion shoot works and what goes on behind the scenes ... so we thought we would share some of the details!

Our photoshoots for the Pickles & Loop Spring/Summer 07/08 range were taken over the course of 2 days. In those 2 days we saw all the hard work and planning come to fruition! We were fortunate to work with a bunch of wonderful people at fantastic locations.

Carriageworks, in Eveleigh, Sydney was a great site with its creative and unique character. The heritage details from the old railway carriage and blacksmith workshop gave a great warehouse effect and definitely enhanced the brilliant photography. What a great venue! Modelling is not always easy - what fun we all had watching our models try to balance on teetering chairs up on books! At times our models Laura, Alanna and Victoria had to be gymnasts as well as models. Its not easy doing a balancing act at the same time as looking your best! They were really good sports about it all.

Our other fabulous shoot location was the Royal National Park in Audley. How can you beat the terrific bushland and river views? And of course climbing trees, riding bikes and paddling boats in the river added to the fun of the day. Thankfully nobody fell in ... though we did have a few close calls!

It goes without saying that the most important part of a successful shoot is the fantastic people you work with. First of all a big thank you to our beautiful Miss World models, Laura Andon, Alanna Van der Veen and Nicola Wall who put their hearts and souls into the shoot. A big thanks also to another model Kalinka Roulstone. Pickles and Loop have really enjoyed being a Miss World Australia sponsor and look forward to supporting Miss World Australia in the future. Of course the models looked their best because of the gorgeous work of our make-up artist Dynae Wood, our hairdresser, Lidia Serrano, and our terrific stylists, Daisy Keary and Naomi Gittoes.

Last but certainly not least we would like to thank our very talented photographers, Justine Perl of Perl Studios who was the photographer at our Carriageworks shoot, and Naomi Gittoes and Tanya Stadelmann who were the photographers in the Royal National Park. Thank you for your great photos and for making the shoots so enjoyable!
